This is not a Rally. It is a drive to points of interest along the most scenic roads we could find in Alaska. We are going to cap this trip at 15 veteran teams. Sorry newbs (hotels will be rough as it is) First come first on the list.
I'm going to layout the route & Itinerary and circle back with dates (Late August) once I have contacted all the hotels.
Day one 8/24 we depart from the Ihop 501 E Tudor Rd, Anchorage, AK 99503 at 8:30AM and drive "The Seward Highway" Route 1 to Homer we will stay in Homer for the evening.
Day two 8/25 Depart Homer back track along Route 1 to route 9 where we head south towards Lowell point. This is the southern section of "The Seward Highway" once completed we backtrack towards Alyeska where we spend the night.
Day three 8/26 Depart Alyeska Drive back to Anchorage and onto Chitina and finally ending in Valdez for the evening.
Day four 8/27 Depart Valdez drive to Gakona, Paxson, Cantwell & finally Denali along the Denali Highway (stone road) check with your rental car company to make sure you can drive it without violating your agreement we stay in Denali for the evening. There are two alternate routes for those not willing or able to drive stone roads.
Day five 8/28 drive to Denali visitor center day. Take the shuttle bus or bus tour. Shuttle starts at $31.50 per person. Tours start at $76.50 and include a boxed lunch (Must be really good sandwiches)
Cars are not allowed onto Denali Park road. It claims to be the most pristine park in the country because of the remote location and this rule. This is 120 miles of stone/dirt road but you should see plenty of wildlife depending on how far you are willing to travel. Back to Denali for the evening.

Day six 8/29 Depart Denali drive Route 3 along Denali state park back to Anchorage - Job done
8/30 jump on a plane or drive home.
