Roebling Road Raceway Rules and Regulations

Rally North America Rules

People can and do crash here. We do NOT want one of our teams to be the next one to total a car, end up in the hospital, or worse. This is not a competitive event. This is meant to be for fun and allow you to push your car a little bit. It is not intended for you to push yourself or your car past it's limits. There is only one wall but trust us to do not want to meet it up close and personal.

There will be a mandatory drivers meeting at 4:15 PM. If you want to drive on the track you must attend this meeting. No exceptions. We will discuss the track and how we expect you to behave during your time on the track.

NO MORE than 5 consecutive Hot laps. Brake fade will be and issue for many street cars. It is recommended that you allow a 5 minute cool down time between sessions.

Roebling Road Passing Zones are After Turn 2, After Turn 7, after turn 9 ONLY. DO NOT PASS IN THE CORNERS. Please work with the other drivers on the track. Make sure they signal you as to which side you are to pass on prior to passing.

We do not want more than 15 cars on the track at any one time. We have rented the track for two hours for Rally North America Cars only. This should allow ample time for everyone to get out on the track several times HOWEVER we do NOT want people waiting that haven't had the chance to get on track watching the same teams running session after session. Please share your time on track with the other teams. If you have driven during the first session please take the second session off. If you have driven in the 1st and 3rd session please do not take to the track again unless there are less than 15 cars on track. (this will most likely be the last couple of sessions)

There will a 20 minute hot session followed by a 5 minute down time period at which time the entrance/exit to the paddock will be opened to allow teams to exit or enter. You must enter or exit the track by crossing it. This includes spectators as there are no grand stands for viewing at this facility.

The concession stand will be open selling food and drinks during our time there.

to drive on the track you will be required to have:

A DOT Helmet
NO Shorts - Long pants only
NO tank tops or muscle shirts all shirts must have sleeves
NO Loose items in your car (please empty the car at the hotel prior to arriving)

The rules provided from Roebling road.

All of us at Roebling Road want you to enjoy your visit. Observing the following guidelines and respecting the rights of those in our community will ensure that everyone has a great time and also help us maintain a friendly atmosphere.

*NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE is permitted until the final checkered flag of the day and the track surface is clear of vehicles. Any use during the races will result in the violators being escorted from the facility.

*Each competitor/team/participant must have at least one (1) portable dry chemical fire extinguisher with a rating of at least 10 ABC visible and in good working condition in their pit area.

*DECIBLE LIMITS are set at 103.9 db. The track will provide a trained sound control technician at your event. After 2 readings exceeding the limit, the racer will be black flagged and given a chance to correct the situation. If the racer is not able to correct the noise level, the vehicle will be pulled from the event.

*The track should be vacated on the last day of your event by 7:00 PM. There may be occasions when extenuating circumstances prevent leaving by this time; if this occurs, track management must be informed and gate hours adjusted. Please ensure that everyone understands these time constraints.

*Quiet hours (no race engines or loud exhaust street vehicles) are from 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM daily and from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Sunday. There is a $100.00 fine for these noise violations.
*ALL NOISE should cease at 9:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 PM on weekends. Please be considerate of our neighbors.
*TRACK MANAGEMENT reserves the right to bar, expel or fine any individual(s) in violation of any policy or regulation.
*IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL EVENT PARTICIPANTS BE INFORMED OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS.

Tony,

It looks like you are figuring on three run groups with 15 - 20 cars each. Based on the Colorado track experience, you can figure 40 - 50 of the cars in the rally will be participating. Do we have a starter? That is the best way to limit people to 5 laps or use 15 minute sessions. I think 15 minute sessions will easily allow everyone 4 -5 laps in a session. Some cars (mine) will have 2 drivers, so we plan to alternate (aka your 1st & 3rd sessions).

You may want to organize groups by color trying to keep similar powered cars together. That should help with passing. Teams would receive their color dots at 4:15 meeting and place them on the windshield above rear view mirror. This way, you have control which groups are on track. So if there are red, white, blue groups, cars like mine would have two color dots.

Using organized groups, you can stage the next group while the previous group is on track. I would suggest we find out at registration who plans to do Roebling and I would be willing to help with this. That way you have time to organize groups ahead of the event and just give out group assignments at the track. If someone is undecided, they should be a yes to doing the event or if anyone drops out at the event, you can adjust groups at the track meeting.

So we need to bring a fire extinguisher?

The pit area is not the paddock area. Pit area is where race team crews are located when cars come in for fuel/repairs. I am guessing we will only be on pit lane to stage each group while everyone else will be in the paddock area.

All the teams that are running on track for that segment will be in the infield for their 20 minutes, the others will be in the paddock area. Once the first 20 minutes is up cars move in and out. I know there will be fire extinguishers in the pit area and if anyone is on fire I'm sure no one will care if theirs is used to put out a fire.

I'm thinking that sound level will get me black flagged even without running my blower. Might have a little fun first..
