I'm definitely planning on it!!!

I'll probably be running CJ's Pony Trails and spend the rest of Saturday on the show field.

Here's the deal. We "may" have The expo center (Outside the fairgrounds where they do the ride & drives for the new cars) set up for RNA cars if we have enough of an interest. This is nice, relatively new building, with nice facilities however that would take you off the show field. This works for me at the Ford show because I don't worry about Carlisle awards (I few already), I like the idea of not driving through grass (Normally mud at the Ford Nats)

I'm not sure that works for you guys.

If you guys want on the show field then this won't work for you but I would like to get head count of participants.

You can count in having a 2007 Shelby GT500 there.

Definitely count me in for Friday after CJs Pony Trails. Probably Saturday too. If that works then we're good. If I need to be there for more time I might have to make some other arrangements, but probably still doable.

What are the dates for the Carlisle Ford Nationals? I am registered to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour June 1- June 9; but my neighbor who is going with me will now have to fly home part way on the trip for a grandkid event. Maybe we should go to this show instead. I have a 1998 Mustang Cobra convertible.

See http://www.carlisleevents.com/events/ford-nationals/ for the info on the All-Ford Nationals. Also, CJs does a nice cruise Friday morning leading to Carlisle ... worth doing!

We are now on the Rally, so I am going to cancel my registration for the 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour. I now plan on driving my 1998 Mustang Cobra to Carlisle Ford Nationals. We will be taking the 2012 Golf R on the Rally.

I went to the CJ Pony site to try and get details on the CJ Pony trail. They had a video from 2011, but not much information for 2012. It looks like cars start coming to CJ Pony early on Friday June 1 and then leave sometime to drive to Carlisle Ford Nationals. So it looks like if I want to attend I should drive to the area on Thursday May 31 and stay at a hotel and then go to the CJ Pony site early on Friday. Any recomendations for hotels in the area?

I wouldn't stay right in Carlisle. The Hotels there rake u over a bit during the shows. Also I would take Route 850 to 34 to get there.

CJ Pony Trails is an annual Friday morning cruise that leaves CJs lot at 9am and arrives at a destination near Carlisle by about 11am. Most cars show up at CJs at around 8am. The route varies and usually stays on rural roads as much as possible. More info, including the route are usually posted a couple of weeks in advance.
Both CJs and Carlisle are near I-81. The drive between is about 40 minutes during rush hours.
CJs usually has free T-shirts and some other stuff for participants ... and coffee and donuts.

Sounds great. I will see you there. I will be driving up from Tega Cay, SC (just south of Charlotte). I will likely be going north on I77 and then north of I81 on Thursday. Maybe I can hook up with some of you on the way up. I will probably leave for home early on Sunday morning.

Brother I would look in Mechnicsburg or Enola for a hotel. There's a new Microtel Inn at Route 81 & Route 944 outside of Enola. You could take 944 to 34 the back way into Carlisle and not hit any traffic.

Thanks for the advise on the hotels. I will try a book a room at the Microtel Inn. Are you guys geting the Gate and Go pass for $40 but instead of showing the car going to the location you are talking about? My car is a drived and not a show car, so I do not really care if it is parked with the show cars or at your location. They also have a $30 pass, but that does not look like that good a deal. I did not see Rally North America listed as a club.

Well if we are able to hook up at the expose center you may not have to pay at all to display your car there and you didn't see RNA listed as we just inked this last week.

@Marvin, I'm less than an hour from Carlisle on the other side. I've been down that way a number of times. Enjoy the drive ... But It seems forever to get thru VA, eh?

@Tony, I was wondering about the registration process. I hope this works out! Keep us posted.

It's quiet because the RNA crew has done everything we can at this point regarding planning. Decals need cut & mailed, there will be a few drop outs & replacement teams and we will see you in Indiana.

On the Ford Nationals deal. I should have something this week. It's looking good so far.
