the routes and destinations are always secret (in traditions of gimmick rallying). In the past years it has traveled to san antonio, tx; scottsdale, az; and las vegas, nv. via varying backroad routes, trying to avoid interstate highways.

Here is the route from 2007, ep to san antonio and back, stayed at Drury hotel on the riverwalk:

Here is the route from 2008, ep to scottsdale and back, stayed at the indigo hotel, limo service to myst nightclub with a vip party!

Here is the route from 2009, ep to vegas and back, stayed on the strip at treasure island, party at christian audigier nightclub:

My wife and I are poor. We've registered for 2 of the upcoming 3 events already.
Hopefully we can come up with the money for the DBR500 before Andy's Mafia comes after us.

Done

I'm having mixed feelings right now, and I'm not sure if I want to take the Mustang or the Porsche this year. And of course I also want to be the first to do the other thing we talked about Andy ;) But once the time crunch gets closer I'll have to make up my mind....

:champ: I had to laugh when I read that, maybe if I write Ron a fan letter he will show up to the rally as my third team mate... he has been MC for the GB3K Rally.

Chad, good to see you on here. So you thinking of running the rally on a motorcycle?

Team Turbo Ninjas, don't let the DBR Mafioso get you...that picture is kind of creepy. Maybe that's what Andy meant when this years rally will be "Ridiculous"

I'm thinking the rally on a motorcycle would be ridiculous. My car is constantly bombarded with rocks and stuff that get kicked up by the cars in front because of the hot tires. I can't even imagine what that would be like on a bike.

I don't know what ya'll are talking about, relaxed? New Mexico PD was responsible for my $700 fine/ Arrest Warrant, and they are still threatening to issue another warrant because I never sent them a plee. WTF is me paying you $700? Sounds like a guilty plee to me!

Who says I'm gonna be behind anyone?
But like I said, I am considering all angles. My largest concerns are in order of severity:

1) Excruciating pain, my ass and back won't exactly be thanking me.
2) Mountain roads with no guard rails, my lead foot has nothing on my black matter wrist.
3) Fuel, with a spare tank I can increase my range to 250 miles, but will it be enough?
4) Navigation and Gimmicks, my co-driver will have to be better than ever as we wont be able to easily share a view on anything without stopping, so good communication will be key.

I think you may hate yourself if you bring a bike, for all of those reasons...because 250 mile range may not be enough, as we usually design routes with 300 mile distances between fueling stations whenever possible. Your back will be killing you all day Saturday when you should be enjoying the day. Your rear and wrists will probably go numb after the first 300 miles on day one...perhaps a touring bike would be more suitable. And navigation would require a helmet similar to what F-35 fighter pilots wear:

They have GPS mounts for the triple tree, and tanks bags with map pouches, and I regularly do rides 200+ miles strait. Fuel and body fatigue by the 3rd day are definitely issues. As of right now though, with my co-driver still in Afghanistan, I may be taking a future sponsor on as my co-driver (and he wants to bring his own car[An '05ish BMW M3])
