So I got this ..

and I'm picking up a handheld CB for the Rally. Who else is upgrading prior to hitting the road?

Installed new (to me) Corbeau TRS seats, and a MOMO steering wheel. Got but still need to install...lowering springs and 3.55 gears. Also hoping to pick up a few 2 ways, and GPS before June.

I had 3.55 in for Route 66 went to 3.73 for Appalachia......not sure what would work best for DIXIE....maybe a 6 Speed transmission.

Re: It's starting to get warm out and it time to upgrade a b
I would love to have a 6 speed in the ole "Rattle Trap" one of these days. Hell if we are going to be doing mostly open roads, I may just leave in the 2.73s....RacerTCI wrote:I had 3.55 in for Route 66 went to 3.73 for Appalachia......not sure what would work best for DIXIE....maybe a 6 Speed transmission.

I may hold off on my 3.73's for a while since I'm doing more long distance driving these days. It still needs tuned, but my new stall has really kicked my MPG in the gonads, so far. I went from near 30 to 23

Re: It's starting to get warm out and it time to upgrade a b
About 3 weeks ago I pre-ordered a Matched set of BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 Ultra High Performance summer tires...I'm usually that person that reads and reads the reviews, but I watched many good video reviews of the tire tests..so i pulled the trigger on the pre-order Hope I get mine 1st (April 11th) ..Radio's I do have a CB..but I also have some HT1000's with my Freq. that we ( team gto) used last year..I would say my biggest upgrade for this year is another GPS and an M47. I also bought a laptop mount but have to really decide if it bothers me or my co-pilot where it is mounted..TBD..

Re: It's starting to get warm out and it time to upgrade a b
My issue with a standard CB...I have no where to mount it in the Mustang so I'm going with handheld. I have no idea what my gas mileage is as I have never checked it but I think I'm sticking with the 3.73's as there are enough back roads to keep it fun for 2012 and the highway speeds are still fast enough...some day I would like six speed and Independent Rear Suspension unit for the 03.

Well I have a small list:
Bullitt/cobra brakes that are going on today with new lines
Change coils
And if time permits buy new shocks and struts then install the eibach springs.

*deep breath*
Intake, headers, high flow cat, caback exhaust, smaller supercharger pulley, new ecu chip, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, adjustable coil overs, drilled & slotted rotors, pads, wheels, front anti sway bar, full new leather interior, all new audio, and when I get home I'll see what I missed.
Volkswagens hurt my wallet.

I have a couple of Moroso tanks that need to be installed and a Steeda Underdrive Pulley, hoping to get them installed in the next few weeks. I put on new wheels/tires a few weeks back, need to get the calipers painted asap.
