The crazy part is there are 2 events every day and you need to drive from venue to venue all night long usually.

Yup, this is the end-result of the Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash. Since sending cars racing cross-country is illegal (as is rallying specifically banned by certain states, or any such event including a time limit or having any type of timing involved on public Highways) this is the next best thing that they came up with to remain an operational business.
